Alaska is receiving a great deal of attention this week as President Obama arrives to address the GLACIER - Global Leadership in the Arctic - conference in Anchorage tomorrow (Monday 31-August-2015). The president will also visit outlet glaciers in the Kenjai fjords as well as rural Arctic villages. It has also been announced that the President will officially rename "Mt. McKinley" to "Denali", the original Alaska Native name given to the tallest peak in North America.
In preparation, the Los Angeles Times published an article about climate change and its pronounced affect on a rural village in Alaska. Check out the article here: http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-arctic-obama-20150830-story.html
