The summer of 2014 was a busy one. From June 1 through September 10 it was very difficult to find me in California. I spent most of the summer in Wyoming working on the Snake River, in Denmark, in Greenland and in New York. I returned to California two days ago and I have just completed a compilation of photos and text from my first Greenland deployment. This deployment spanned the first three weeks of July. My name is Lincoln H Pitcher. I am a graduate student in the Department of Geography at UCLA. My research focuses hydrologic and cryospheric systems and interfaces with emerging ground, air and spaceborne remote sensing and geospatial technologies. I aim to use these emerging technologies to enhance understanding of remote and logistically inaccessible places. My current research focuses on both Greenland and Arctic Alaska.
