NASA has announced that launch support for the forthcoming Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite mission will be provided by SpaceX and that SWOT will be launched using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The launch is scheduled to occur at Vandenberg Air Force Base, near Lompoc, California in April 2021.

My name is Lincoln H Pitcher. I am a graduate student in the Department of Geography at UCLA. My research focuses hydrologic and cryospheric systems and interfaces with emerging ground, air and spaceborne remote sensing and geospatial technologies.
